1. About The Vet's Lounge

The Vet's Lounge ("we," "us," "our," "The Vet's Lounge") is a veteran community organization based in Utah County. We provide a safe, welcoming space designed by and for veterans. Our services include:

• Weekly in-person community gatherings and events
• Membership programs with community benefits
• Volunteer opportunities for veterans and supporters
• Donation and fundraising programs
• Access to resources and referrals for veteran support services
• Fitness challenges and recreational outings

2. Eligibility and Participation Requirements

Membership and event participation is open to:

• Military veterans and active service members
• Family members of veterans and service members
• Supporters of veteran causes
• Participants must be 18 years or older
• All participants must conduct themselves professionally and respectfully in all interactions
• Compliance with all applicable laws is required for participation

3. Membership and Account Responsibilities

When you create an account or become a member, you agree to:

• Provide accurate registration information and keep it current
• Use only one account per person (no account sharing)
• Not share login credentials with others
• Not misrepresent your identity or military service status
• Comply with our community guidelines and code of conduct
• Respect the safety and dignity of all participants

4. User Conduct and Community Guidelines

All participants agree to:

• Treat other members and volunteers with respect and dignity
• Maintain professional and appropriate behavior during all events
• Not engage in harassment, discrimination, or hostile conduct
• Not use services for any unlawful or prohibited purposes
• Not photograph, record, or share content from events without prior permission
• Follow instructions from event staff and volunteers
• Not bring weapons, drugs, or alcohol to events (unless explicitly permitted)

5. Membership Benefits and Services

Membership benefits may include:

• Access to weekly community gatherings
• Safe coworking space for veterans
• Access to group dental and supplemental insurance information
• Fitness challenges and recreational outings
• Community resources and referrals for veteran support services
• Networking opportunities with other veterans and service members

6. Events and In-Person Gatherings

The Vet's Lounge hosts regular in-person events and activities. By attending events, you agree to:

• Follow all event guidelines and rules
• Respect the physical and emotional safety of all participants
• Comply with venue policies and any posted event rules
• Participate at your own risk

The Vet's Lounge is not responsible for personal injuries, property damage, or loss during events, except where caused by our negligence.

7. Volunteer Participation

Volunteers agree to:

• Follow all volunteer guidelines and instructions from leadership
• Maintain confidentiality regarding member information
• Conduct themselves professionally and respectfully
• Complete any required background checks if applicable
• Not misuse volunteer access or member information

The Vet's Lounge may terminate volunteer status at any time for cause.

8. Donations and Payments

When you make a donation or purchase a membership:

• Payment will be processed through our secure payment processor (Stripe)
• You authorize us to charge the payment method you provide
• Membership payments renew automatically unless you cancel
• Donations are voluntary and non-refundable
• You may cancel membership at any time by contacting us

9. Veteran Status Verification

The Vet's Lounge may request verification of military service or veteran status. Currently, we accept self-attestation. In the future, we may request personal documents (such as DD214s, discharge papers, or military ID copies) for verification purposes.

10. Privacy and Personal Information

Your privacy is important to us. We collect personal information only as needed to:

• Verify eligibility
• Process memberships and donations
• Communicate about events and opportunities
• Improve our services

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties. Please review our Privacy Policy for complete details about data collection, use, and protection.

11. Recording and Content

Events and activities may be photographed or recorded by The Vet's Lounge staff for:

• Documentation and promotional purposes
• Community building and engagement
• Internal record-keeping

You have the right to request that your image or likeness not be used in promotional materials. By attending events, you consent to being photographed or recorded unless you opt out in writing.

12. Disclaimers and Limitations

Important limitations:

• Services are provided "as is" without warranties
• The Vet's Lounge is not liable for personal injury or property damage at events (except through our negligence)
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• No guarantee of employment, medical benefits, or specific outcomes from membership
• Technical platform access may occasionally be interrupted

13. Changes to Terms and Member Notification

We may update these terms as our services evolve. When we make significant changes:

• Members will be notified via email at least 30 days in advance
• Continued use of services after notification means you accept the new terms
• Previous versions of terms are available upon request

14. Account Termination and Data Handling

You may terminate your membership at any time by contacting us. The Vet's Lounge may suspend or terminate your account if:

• You violate these terms or our community guidelines
• You provide false information
• You engage in harassment or unsafe behavior
• Other conduct we deem harmful to the community

Upon termination:

• Your membership benefits cease immediately
• Personal data is handled according to our Privacy Policy
• You have 30 days to request your information before deletion
• Some information may be retained as required by law

15. Liability and Indemnification

By participating in The Vet's Lounge activities, you acknowledge:

• Participation is at your own risk
• You release The Vet's Lounge from liability for injuries or property damage (except gross negligence)
• You agree to indemnify (hold harmless) The Vet's Lounge from claims arising from your conduct

Any disputes related to these terms or services will first be addressed through informal discussion. If unresolved, disputes may be subject to binding arbitration as permitted by law.
